2019-2020 MDC Board
Deena Cummings, President
Deena Cummings is a mom to 3 daughters and got licensed in 2001 to become the Office Manager for one of the top agents in Lane County at the time. She had worked her way up to as far as she could in the medical field prior and was needing another challenge while being able to be a wife and mother at the same time. After holding the Office Manager title for 1 year and learning the business her drive to grow and learn more grew and she went on to become a Buyer's Agent for the next 2 years.
After that her confidence grew and she went out on her own and has since become one of the top agents in Lane County herself. Her passion and commitment is shown through her communication and customer service where she exceeds her clients expectations.
Now her daughters are grown and she is a grandma to 3, she loves to travel and give back to the community. She has volunteered with CASA, and helped raise money for many non-profit organizations here in Lane County. Deena has been on the board of the Million Dollar Club for 5 years and appreciates the camaraderie and friendships of the other talented agents within the Real Estate community.
You may find Deena at a Duck's game supporting our local athletes, the theater, out walking her rescue dog, or wine tasting during her down time. Anytime is a good time to talk about Real Estate!
Darren Ricketts, Vice President
Darren Ricketts is the team leader for the Ricketts Group, a Keller Williams team based in Eugene, Oregon. Darren is a Realtor® because he loves houses and the many opportunities they bring. A native to the area, he applied his background as a finish carpenter to begin flipping houses with an investment partner. As the need eventually arose, he went on to learning real estate agency. Darren found that selling real estate truly called to him, so in 2011 he became a licensed real estate broker in order to transition from his Information Technology career to selling houses full time. Now, along with selling real estate, he enriches and leads those around him by:
•Teaching First Time Home Buyer and First Time Investor Classes through NEDCO
•Serving on the board with Eugene Association of Realtors
•Serving on the board with the Million Dollar Club of Lane County
•Serving on Agent Leadership Council and teaching courses at the Eugene/Springfield Keller William Offices
Darren is a world traveler and has been to 8 countries including Bolivia, Kenya and Egypt. Alongside his wife Keri, Darren has participated in various cycling events throughout the northwest, including Cycle Oregon and the Seattle to Portland Bicycle Classic. Although Darren’s IT days are long behind him, he will always be a true nerd at heart; in his free time he still enjoys educating (read: mercilessly beating) his two daughters and their friends on the nuances of games like Magic! the Gathering.
